abstract = {Background: With the rapid development of digital biomarkers in Parkinson disease (PD) research, it has become increasingly important to explore the current research trends and key areas of focus.
Objective: This study aimed to comprehensively evaluate the current status, hot spots, and future trends of global PD biomarker research, and provide a systematic review of deep learning models for freezing of gait (FOG) digital biomarkers.
Methods: This study used bibliometric analysis based on the Web of Science Core Collection database to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the multidimensional landscape of Parkinson digital biomarkers. After identifying research hot spots, the study also followed the PRISMA-ScR (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews) guidelines for a scoping review of deep learning models for FOG from 5 databases: Web of Science, PubMed, IEEE Xplore, Embase, and Google Scholar.
Results: A total of 750 studies were included in the bibliometric analysis, and 40 studies were included in the scoping review. The analysis revealed a growing number of related publications, with 3700 researchers contributing. Neurology had the highest average annual participation rate (12.46/19, 66%). The United States contributed the most research (192/1171, 16.4%), with 210 participating institutions, which was the highest among all countries. In the study of deep learning models for FOG, the average accuracy of the models was 0.92, sensitivity was 0.88, specificity was 0.90, and area under the curve was 0.91. In addition, 31 (78%) studies indicated that the best models were primarily convolutional neural networks or convolutional neural networks–based architectures.
Conclusions: Research on digital biomarkers for PD is currently at a stable stage of development, with widespread global interest from countries, institutions, and researchers. However, challenges remain, including insufficient interdisciplinary and interinstitutional collaboration, as well as a lack of corporate funding for related projects. Current research trends primarily focus on motor-related studies, particularly FOG monitoring. However, deep learning models for FOG still lack external validation and standardized performance reporting. Future research will likely progress toward deeper applications of artificial intelligence, enhanced interinstitutional collaboration, comprehensive analysis of different data types, and the exploration of digital biomarkers for a broader range of Parkinson symptoms.},

abstract = {Taking as a point of departure the role that the category of frailty increasingly plays in the classification, sorting and management of ageing populations in contemporary societies, this paper examines how the onset of Covid-19—as a disease posing the most risk to older adults—affected scientific knowledge production on frailty. Drawing on a theoretically driven network mapping of scientific literature on frailty before and after the pandemic, the paper traces emergent shifts in the evolution of two key discourses of frailty, namely that of the accumulation of deficits and the phenotype, respectively. Our analysis identifies an increased enrolment of frailty as a clinical, prognostic category post-Covid, underpinned by the deficit accumulation model and its key instrument, the frailty index. In parallel, we observe the continuation of laboratory and experimental research on frailty, as aligned with the phenotype approach. We note that in comparison to before Covid, this shift seems to be taking place across a more diversified scientific terrain, with the field of geriatrics playing a central, mediating role between distinct-yet-relational articulations of frailty—those tied to the clinic on one end, and the lab on the other.},

By combining multimodal data integration with dynamic modeling, the accuracy of digital twin models has been significantly improved.
However, the integration of different data types still faces challenges related to tool interoperability and limited standardization. Specific applications of digital twin technology have shown significant advantages in diagnosis, treatment
decision-making, prognosis prediction, and surgical planning.

However, urbanization, industrialization, and technological advancements have reshaped the sector, impacting labor dynamics and gender roles. Traditional agricultural labor faces challenges due to low wages, physically demanding tasks, and unfavorable working conditions. Addressing gender disparities and promoting inclusive work environments is essential for achieving sustainability. According to the ILO (International Labour Office) decent work encompasses productivity and equal employment opportunities for both genders. This study aims to review the literature on gender, sustainability and agricultural development using a bibliometric analysis of Scopus-indexed articles. The findings identify five main research domains: gender dynamics and roles, agriculture and climate change, sustainability and development, human and labor dynamics, and environmental and technological aspects. Additionally, four key scientific communities led the research: Gender studies, agricultural economics, environmental management, and rural sociology. Emerging research trends focus on gender roles in sustainable farming, environmental innovation, and labor governance in agriculture. Spain, the United Kingdom, United States, and Canada lead in knowledge production, contributing significantly to these research domains. This review highlights the importance of interdisciplinary approaches to address the complex issues of gender and sustainability in agriculture. À partir d’une analyse mobilisant l’outil CorText, il suit la manière dont la notion de sobriété a fait l’objet de problématisations successives durant la période 2009-2021, et il examine les transformations qui se sont opérées avec la crise énergétique de 2022. Il met ainsi en évidence les formes de politisation qui se déploient autour de l’envolée des prix des énergies et des risques de ruptures de l’approvisionnement énergétique, ainsi que des formes de gouvernement de la sobriété déployées en 2022. À partir d’une analyse mobilisant l’outil CorText, il suit la manière dont la notion de sobriété a fait l’objet de problématisations successives durant la période 2009-2021, et il examine les transformations qui se sont opérées avec la crise énergétique de 2022. Il met ainsi en évidence les formes de politisation qui se déploient autour de l’envolée des prix des énergies et des risques de ruptures de l’approvisionnement énergétique, ainsi que des formes de gouvernement de la sobriété déployées en 2022. Il questionne enfin les figures de la sobriété comme objet de discussion politique et morale ou comme composante des trajectoires des innovations pour l’énergie et le climat telles qu’elles apparaissent dans la presse.

This hands-on session will guide participants through spatial data analysis and network analysis enabling them to identify thematic and territorial patterns within scientific communities.},

Des organisations internationales (comme l’Organisation des Nations unies), supranationales (comme l’Union européenne) ainsi que de nombreux États ont défini les modalités de leur combat contre ce fléau avec ce référentiel à l’esprit. Selon l’approche « One Health », la lutte contre les grandes menaces sanitaires de notre temps ne peut être conduite de manière efficiente qu’avec une plus forte attention aux interactions entre les secteurs de la santé humaine, de la santé animale et de l’environnement. Cette notion trouve son origine dans une longue et complexe histoire d’idées, de plaidoyers et d’alliances scientifiques et politiques qui s’est déployée tout au long du xxe siècle (Cassidy, 2016 ; 2018). Au point de rencontre entre deux mouvements, issus pour l’un des sciences vétérinaires, pour l’autre d’une frange de la santé publique s’intéressant aux zoonoses, elle a fédéré de nombreux acteurs, vers la fin des années 2000, sous l’impulsion de diverses réponses internationales à des risques de pandémie. Formulée par de nombreuses instances et à de multiples échelles de l’action publique, elle est devenue une injonction s’adressant aussi bien au champ politique que scientifique. Cela ne va pas sans créer des tensions. Si l’appel à l’intersectorialité constitue l’un des fondements de l’approche « One Health », des travaux portant sur des domaines connexes à celui de l’antibiorésistance ont souligné les difficultés à dépasser un fonctionnement en silos, aussi bien du côté des organisations professionnelles et politiques (Jerolmack, 2013) que des disciplines scientifiques (Manlove et al., 2016 ; Humboldt-Dachroeden et al., 2020). D’autres ont souligné la prévalence d’un anthropocentrisme dans les espaces politiques et professionnels impliqués dans les luttes contre l’antibiorésistance et les maladies zoonotiques, qui demeurent principalement tournées vers le maintien et l’amélioration de la santé humaine, tandis que les animaux et l’environnement restent considérés comme secondaires (Hinchliffe, 2015 ; Kamenshchikova et al., 2021 ; Canãda et al., 2022).
La recherche scientifique est un rouage clé de la gestion de problèmes publics tels que celui de l’antibiorésistance. Elle étudie ses causes, ses conséquences et les manières de la résoudre, du moins de lutter contre elle. Les pouvoirs publics considèrent ses travaux comme les fondements les plus légitimes et sollicitent de nombreux chercheurs comme experts pour produire des études et des avis qu’ils mobilisent, aux côtés d’autres considérations, pour produire l’action publique [1]. Il est donc essentiel d’analyser comment la recherche académique sur l’antibiorésistance est elle-même structurée afin de comprendre les cadrages et les jeux d’acteurs au fil desquels se tissent les modalités de gestion de ce problème. La production des connaissances académiques sur l’antibiorésistance obéit-elle à des configurations en silos observés dans des domaines connexes ? Est-elle structurée par l’anthropocentrisme qui caractérise les arènes politiques et professionnelles afférentes ?

Initialement liée à la psychologie des foules de Gustave Le Bon et empreinte d’une vision normative faisant passer les émotions devant la rationalité individuelle, son analyse connaît un renouveau important suite à l’essor des technologies numériques à partir des années 1990.
Portées par des intérêts gouvernementaux de surveillance de la population, ces nouvelles sciences de la foule promettent de mettre à distance les considérations idéologiques et morales qui ont longtemps dominé la connaissance de l’objet. Cependant, la gestion par l’État de ces formes de quantification fait apparaître de nouveaux problèmes mettant en danger les droits individuels. Ces problèmes se jouent à un niveau idéologique par la critique de la surveillance de masse mais aussi juridique avec une revendication citoyenne sur la souveraineté des données personnelles. Ces observations nous poussent alors à nous demander quelles sont les conditions selon lesquelles ces nouvelles sciences de la foule peuvent être démocratiques.
Pour répondre à cette question nous mobilisons trois terrains – une analyse scientométrique et deux ethnographies – permettant de comprendre les différents enjeux liés au gouvernement de la foule. Dans un premier temps, nous analysons comment se structure et se construit un ensemble de connaissances scientifiques par l’analyse d’un corpus d’articles portant sur la foule depuis les années 1950. Nous observons comment différentes disciplines se saisissent de la question et la manière dont les gouvernements influencent les recherches scientifiques en investissant certaines techniques d’encadrement de la foule plutôt que d’autres. Dans un deuxième temps, nous étudions les nouvelles formes de normativité qui émergent par le comptage de la foule politique. Par la mobilisation d’un terrain portant sur le comptage des manifestants en France, nous voyons que la mise en place d’une mesure présentée comme indépendante doit se légitimer pour apparaître crédible tout en imposant une normativité au phénomène à quantifier. Enfin, nous questionnons les possibilités d’émancipation démocratique par l’ethnographie d’une procédure de comptage éthique de la foule au sein de la ville d’Amsterdam. Nous rencontrons des acteurs qui souhaitent intégrer les revendications citoyennes opposées à la société de surveillance à un système de comptage de la foule afin de lier les besoins de quantification de la ville aux demandes de respect des données personnelles des citoyens concernés.

Anchored in political science, it mobilises environmental history and strategic analysis of environmental management. Its objective is to understand how the reference to the past is used by different actors involved in environmental policies to make their voices heard in argumentative struggles.
The thesis first examines how scientists use history in relation to environmental policies. An exploratory literature review reveals that the use of history is not limited to historians. It is also found in approaches based on political ecology, which aim to build narratives considering the oppressed, and in approaches that examine the functioning of socio-ecological systems through contributions from historical ecology.
This analysis is supplemented by a qualitative survey of French-speaking historians working on environmental issues to explore their relationship with public action. It identifies four typical interaction situations between history and public action, in which historians play different roles: producing knowledge for society, stimulating new thoughts, cooperating to mutually enrich public action and research, and responding to commissions to inform public action.
Scientists in social sciences and ecology are far from the only ones to make the past a political resource.
Engineers, who dominate the process of river management and use, also refer to the past to defend progress and legitimize their actions. An in-depth study of the journal "La Houille Blanche" led to the development of a methodology to identify scattered references to the past in a scientific and technical journal without disconnecting them from their context of enunciation. The analysis of the 220 historically significant articles helped characterize different archetypes of reference to the past in this journal.
The past also serves as a political resource for various coalitions of actors advocating for the recognition of rivers as living ecosystems. Ecologists use the past heuristically as a counterfactual to human action to better anticipate the potential of ecological restoration. Other actors highlight an idealized heritage vision of managed rivers to oppose their restoration.
In response to this political use of the past in argumentative struggles over ecological restoration, an intervention research was conducted in collaboration with the Haut-Rhône Syndicate. Based on a strategic diagnosis of the management situation and the associated stakeholders’ dynamics, the intervention shed light on the various existing public policy narratives about the Rhône. On this basis, a pluralistic narrative was developed and visualized to represent the different voices at play, contributing to a rebalancing of power relations in the territory.
The thesis highlights the tension between the instrumental use of history, employed as a tool for specific objectives, and the historical method, which emphasizes rigorous source critique and narrative plurality.
It asserts that such a method, when strategically mobilized, can become a powerful resource to legitimize actors engaged in ecological restoration. This thesis, conducted in partnership with field actors, demonstrates the relevance and effectiveness of mobilizing history as a political resource, while calling for continuous reflection on the methods and objectives of this mobilization.},

This editorial explores CS participation, aiming to provide a comprehensive analysis of engagement patterns, and challenges, and offering recommendations to enhance citizen involvement in scientific initiatives. A systematic review of existing literature indexed on Web of Science is conducted, following the PRISMA framework. The review covered 1,613 selected studies examining ‘participation’ across various scientific fields, identifying the methodologies used and the factors influencing engagement, such as benefits, challenges, and ethical concerns. The results reveal a growing trend in CS, particularly in the natural sciences, with citizen involvement mostly limited to data collection rather than higher-level engagement like analysis or decision-making. The study also highlights the underrepresentation of social sciences and the need for more interdisciplinary approaches. In conclusion, the article calls for increased interdisciplinarity, greater integration of citizens in decision-making processes, diversification of participatory methods, and context-specific strategies for participation. Introduction: The Koomesh Journal, a pioneering and influential medical research publication in Iran, has been active since 2006. This study aims to offer a comprehensive overview of the journal's publication structure from 2006 to 2022 using bibliometric analysis.
Materials and Methods: This study was conducted with a bibliometric approach. The study population consists of 1238 documents published in the Koomesh Journal. The bibliographic data of these documents were extracted from the Scopus database, and various bibliometric techniques and tools, such as Excel 365, SPSS 26, VOS Viewer, CorTex, and Biblioshiny, were extracted to examine trends and significant topics such as the journal's publication and citation structure, highly cited articles, authors, institutions, and countries.
Results: Koomesh experienced fluctuations in productivity and impact before declining. Semnan University of Medical Sciences and Iran were the institutions and countries with the highest participation rates, respectively. Raheb Ghorbani emerged as the most influential and prolific author. The article "Estimation of natural age of menopause in Iranian women: A meta-analysis study" received the most citations. A considerable degree of co-authorship existed among the journal's top authors, with the most collaboration occurring between Iran and Sweden and, in terms of cities, Tehran and Semnan. The terms Iran, sports, and anxiety were the most prevalent and significant. The most discussion was on precision medicine and COVID-19.
Conclusion: This study has provided an overview of the publication structure of Koomesh Journal during the years 2006 to 2022. This study may be useful for the editorial board of the journal, because it provides numerous and useful information for the progress and continuation of the work.},

The analysis covers a corpus of 1145 articles that refer to the environment in their title, abstract or keywords and published in 18 journals between 1999 and 2020. Then, according to the widely used core database, i.e., Web of Science (WoS), and the technologies of software, VOS viewer, and CiteSpace, the productive institutions, authors, and journals are explored. Next, the corresponding internal characteristics of the CI research are analyzed, including the citation features of countries/regions, institutions, journals and authors. Furthermore, to analyze the development trend of research hotspots, the keywords of all CI publications are studied: (a) classifying them into three phases in chronological order aimed; (b) implementing the burst detection algorithm to intuitively reflect the scientific research in the field of CI. Finally, this paper provides a relatively throughout perspective for the CI articles and reviews and discloses the future development trend, which will help the scholars interested in this area conduct deep research. We conclude this bibliometric overview with the limitations and recommendations for future research in the field of CI.},

We collected various types of material (a corpus of tweets and interviews) in order to examine the characteristics of these expressions. We have contextualized, analyzed and discussed these data thanks to a mixed method relying on both quantitative and qualitative tools. We have uncovered the semiodiscursive characteristics of these utterances, in particular their lexical and morphosyntactic features. The diversity of the responses shows the centrality of the testimony and sheds light on the reasons for its circulation, in this case the role of certain Twitter accounts that contribute to the circulation of the hashtag and its deployment.},

In the wake of #MeToo, the January 2021 hashtag #MeTooInceste helped to update the public issue of incest in France. We collected various types of material (a corpus of tweets and interviews) in order to examine the characteristics of these expressions. We have contextualized, analyzed and discussed these data thanks to a mixed method relying on both quantitative and qualitative tools. We have uncovered the semiodiscursive characteristics of these utterances, in particular their lexical and morphosyntactic features. The diversity of the responses shows the centrality of the testimony and sheds light on the reasons for its circulation, in this case the role of certain Twitter accounts that contribute to the circulation of the hashtag and its deployment.

Using the majority judgment approach typically used to improve political votes, different options for using of agrobiodiversity in food chains were proposed to citizen-consumers. Results first showed that the decline of agrobiodiversity is a concern for consumers, but does not guide food choices. Then, the alternative options for using agrobiodiversity in food chains, previously documented as favourable to its conservation and development, received positive votes from a large majority of respondents, regardless of their socio-economic category. However, the research showed that respondents seem to have limited knowledge on the subject. This study calls for more research and policies to support alternative options for using agrobiodiversity in food chains. It also encourages the co-development of agrobiodiversity-based markets with citizen-consumers as well as the creation of food environments conducive to learning on agrobiodiversity.},

This research aims to analyze the social media debate by exploring multiplatform dynamics to qualitatively identify and analyze the connections between social media platforms that we have termed Bridges, a concept drawn from Transmedia Theory to describe the narrative relationship between platforms. The methodological approach will follow an explanatory sequential design that will rely on digital methods to identify connections between platforms (bridges) and then apply an exploratory qualitative approach to enrich the data and capture the nuances of the debate. As expected, we found polarized positions and fragmentation on both issues of civilian nuclear energy and the atomic conflict narrative. Primary evidence shows bridges spreading affective, defective, and infective content across platforms in a multifaceted social media ecosystem. Affective refers to rhetoric that appeals to people’s feelings. Defective means the discussion that brings attention to hyper-partisan news channels, fake news, and misinformation. Infective means bridges with below-the-radar platforms, niche channels, or pseudo-information channels. They use bridges with mainstream platforms to gain the potential to go viral. The paper highlights the importance of cross-platform and interdisciplinary approaches to addressing disinformation in a media ecosystem where social media plays an increasing role in a country’s democratic dynamics.},

Climate information services (CIS) adoption by smallholder farmers in Africa presents a promising solution for adaptation to climate variability. This paper unravels the complexities around climate services for smallholder farmers and explores opportunities to tailor CIS for the resources of smallholder farmers. We use a systematic literature review approach to assess how the human, social, physical/technical, natural and financial capitals may affect awareness, access and use of CIS by smallholder farmers. The study is based on 33 papers from Africa. Majority of the studies gave emphasis on education, information communication and technology literacy levels and advisory services as influencing CIS access, use and uptake. The results highlight that better resourced smallholder farmers have higher access and are more likely to adopt CIS. The human capital emerged as an important component of CIS adoption as it directly determines how the farmer makes decisions on the farm. The natural capital determines the specific preference for CIS when the financial and economic capitals enable farmers acting according to the information received. The social capital provides a basis for farmers to benefit from compounded resources. Thus, the livelihood resource capitals of the target farmers must be considered in CIS information production and dissemination to improve the chances of CIS adoption by vulnerable groups that is illiterate, women, elderly, farmers in agroecological zones prone to climate extremes and poorly resourced farmers.},

It was found that the commonly used animal models in allantoin studies include Sprague Dawley and Wistar rats, with amino acids and enzymes playing crucial roles in the metabolic pathways leading to allantoin production. When it comes to identifying metabolites, on the other hand, techniques such as liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry are frequently employed. Notably, the analysis of terminology trends revealed the consistent use of terms like oxidative stress and uric acid in relevant literature. Ultimately, the relationships between commonly used terms in research have revealed consistent trends over time, offering valuable insights for future studies.},

La intención es aportar al debate sobre continuidad y cambio entre ambas propuestas de gobierno.
Dicha revisión, precedida por una corta caracterización del crimen en la ciudad entre 2016 y 2024, describe de manera breve la ciudad que dejó Enrique Peñalosa (2016-2019). Lo anterior, en busca de evidenciar, desde una perspectiva comparada, la respuesta del gobierno López a las necesidades de seguridad de la ciudad que recibió en enero de 2020 con respecto al entorno cambiante y dinámico de la criminalidad, así como la propuesta y las primeras acciones de Galán frente a la Bogotá que recibe.
Finalmente, con base en estos hallazgos, se establecerán una serie de conclusiones y recomendaciones, teniendo como referente el panorama contemporáneo de las amenazas y los desafíos que enfrenta la capital en esta temática.},

The content of this cancer research agenda was represented through co-occurrence networks of the predominant multi-terms found in the articles' titles, keywords, and abstracts.
Results:
The results reflected a strong predominance of methodological approaches associated with molecular and cellular biology. In addition, terms associated with breast cancer had a strong predominance in recent years. The analysis also revealed that the study of socio-environmental factors influencing the development and progression of diseases such as occupational, environmental, and exposure to xenobiotics remained marginal in the cancer research agenda of Argentina during the last four decades.
Conclusions:
It is concluded that the orientation of the Argentine cancer research agenda excludes, with few exceptions, the prevention and study of socio-environmental factors associated with the development and progression of cancer, favoring a reductionist methodological approach anchored in Molecular and Cellular Biology and linked to the development of therapeutic and pharmacological interventions},
